Organizers
Many writers join multiple groups, so placing events from a variety of organizations on a single calendar makes it easy (and free) for writers to find the groups, meetings, and conferences that are best suited for them.
For example, your critique group might appear next to a class on character, exposing your class or event to someone who may not otherwise have known your organization existed.
Each organization determines the information presented for their events (your web address, meeting type, date and time, a map, anything else you want to communicate). Colorado Writers’ Café then creates the event on its Meetup Calendar.
Once an event is placed on the Colorado Writers’ Café Meetup calendar, attendees and event managers can communicate directly on the Meetup’s message board.
For example, you can manage your open critique slots and assignments right on the event page. Organizers may also specify a limit on the number of attendees and create a waitlist for the overflow.
